This is the kind of news that as a breeder makes me very happy! Nova von den Sportwaffen is now a narcotic police k9 in Arizona. Go get em Super Nova!! Join the ranks of countless other Stuka progeny wearing the badge!

Born: December 22, 2010
Nova von den Sportwaffen was bred here at my kennel and raised for training as a narcotic detection police K9. She was bred out of my male SG1 Stuka vom Enckhausen SchH3, IPO3, FH, Kkl1 (son of two time National Police Dog Champion Stormfront's Brawnson) and import Facka z Vysneho Caju ZVV1. She was born on December 22nd, 2010 so she is just under one year of age. Her hips and elbows have been xrayed and passed normal-normal. She is extremely social and would be a dream at locations such as schools and airports because purchasing agency would have zero liability of any problems that can sometimes be present with K9's and instead would have a PR dream dog. Nova loves everyone, is very friendly and affectionate, and she loves to hunt dope. Nova was trained and certified on 7 odors of narcotic detection:
Marijuana
Cocaine
Methamphetamine
Ecstacy
Heroin
LSD
K-2 Spice
Lastly, on 12/17/2011 Nova is documented as having a live street find on the interstate at night and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics in a vehicle traffic stop resulting in the arrest of two subjects for possession of heroin and paraphernalia! Under one year of age, good hips and elbows, vet checked, certified on 7 odors, obedience trained, with a live street find on a vehicle stop already under her belt. My patrol K9 alerted to the vehicle. Nova was taken to the vehicle and offered the same indication in the same location as my proven street patrol K9, resulting in the heroin. What more could you ask for? (Pictures and Video below)

The FOR SALE page is newly updated with multiple sport and police dogs and litters for sale. You can go there by clicking here.
It has been a long time since I've updated my news page and I've heard the emails from you because of it. My apologies, we've been very busy planning with hosting the AWDF and all. I'll try and catch you up to speed on some things before I work to officially update them on the site here and there.
First off, we have puppies on the way due the first week of January. Our alpha female Jenny von der Langerts SchH1 has been bred to two time USA National Champion V Max ze Stribrneho kamene SchH3, IPO3, Kkl1. I wanted to wait until the pregnancy was confirmed by ultrasound and it has. I will get information on this top sport German Shepherd breeding up on the for sale page today.
A trained and street proven narcotic detector dog will be listed today as well. Nova von den Sportwaffen has been certified in 7 odors, passed hips/elbows, and is ready to work the street at under one year of age. Pretty impressive. Nova made a hit on I-65 two nights ago of heroin and paraphernalia. Good job Nova! We were called in to do a search and my police dog gave a positive alert. Since we had my new sport dog Czar z Oravskej doliny, Laila von den Sportwaffen (Stuka vom Enckhausen x Jenny von der Langerts), and Nova von den Sportwaffen (Stuka vom Enckhausen and Facka z Vysneho Caju) close at training and Lorna Thomas and I had previously narcotic certified them, we ran them too. All dogs gave clear positive alerts to the heroin. Good job guys! I have pictures and videos to post.
We have a nice young sport/personal protection male to list for sale. Mason is a black sable male out of Erri x Blatenskeho zamku SchH3, IPO3, Kkl1. I have pictures and videos to post of him as well.
I am offering a retired sport/breeding female for sale to the right home. She's a wonderful dog.
After doing helper work on Czar for awhile I have transitioned him back to my hands and all is going well. We are right back into the swing of things. I was impressed with his ability to handle the pressure and stress I showed him as a helper after being handled by me, then make a full transition back into me handling him. It speaks well to his genetics. Please check out his web page here on this site.
I have had to switch up gears on my new sport dog, Car z Oravskej Doliny, to tap into the behavior I'm wanting in his bark and hold. Car has insanely high prey drive and wants for the bite so much that it will lock his barking at times. But he really wants to bite so then it becomes a challenge to get him to bark while keeping him off the helper. He has lots of normal social aggression as well and is extremely confident. I have had to work to keep his thought of prey lower for the bark and hold so the aggression comes out the way I want him to operate in the blind. Because I know just what I want to see and how I want his behavior punished or paid, I have started working his bark and hold myself to try and cement the behavior to what I want. This is exciting for me because not every dog can do quality bitework on their handler and it not only gives me a great opportunity to have it done just how I want, but also to get a really nice view into the working abilities of my dog and how he operates in his drives and handles pressure. I have taken video and will try to post it to the site in the next days. I am happy to report I have him barking extremely nice in the blind. His longbite continues to become faster, and faster. I caught him on about a 50 yard longbite yesterday at training and it was insane. A week prior my friend Joe Brockington, a very capable top sport trial helper, caught Czar (his call name) and it was incredible. Joe stated "That was insane... I think that's the fastest longbite I've ever caught. It was dangerous, man. I'm serious. He almost took me down, but I wasn't gonna let that happen! haha"
Upcoming Police K9 Patrol Dog School and certification in Indianapolis, Indiana with Nate Harves being planned for November. Will be a five week school for full time sworn law enforcement K9 handler teams. More information to come on the Seminars page.
Upcoming Police K9 seminar with Nate Harves in Crittenden, Kentucky. Dates are not finalized, projection is three day event in November. More information to come on the Seminars page.
Exciting times for my schutzhund club, OG Landshark Schutzhund, Polizeihund, und Rettungshunde! We are changing training locations to a facility with more buildings to use, and will have access to over 20 acres of lush tracking on site. Our club has also purchased a travel trailer to use during training days in addition to our existing clubhouse and shelter. The nice benefit of the travel trailer is we will take it with us as a hospitality area for our members when travelling to training events and trials. It will offer our members and their dogs a break from the heat, a place to warm up, or simply somewhere to sit down and grab a bite to eat or relax a little.

Congratulations to my good friend Lorna Thomas on Laila Belle von den Sportwaffen returning normal-normal on her hips and elbows through the SV in Germany!
Lorna has worked very hard on Laila's training and is very very close to the SchH1. Her BH work is complete, but Laila just turned 15 months, so we had to wait until she met the age requirement for titling. Laila is a medium sized dark sable female with a very clear head and high drives. Her gripping on the sleeve and the dumbbell is extremely hard for a female and very calm. Ball drive and food drive are very high, tracking is slow and methodical. She is also very fast. When Laila is titled, she will join the Sportwaffen breeding ranks. I am extremely excited at this because she is a SG1 Stuka vom Enckhausen SchH3, IPO3, FH, Kkl1, HOT daughter out of my 4-4 Fero female Jenny von der Langerts SchH1. Excellent genetics and blood for breeding! If you'd like to see Laila's page you can by clicking here. There will be more pictures and videos added in the next week or so.
I have added to the page with information on measurements, specs, patterns, layouts, etc., for multiple schutzhund bite table and bite box measurements. You may go to it by clicking here.
My apologies for the time between NEWS updates, I have been very busy. I'm now off to travel to Tennessee and Kentucky to do an affiliation trial and a helper seminar. If you would like to attend the helper seminar, it is at Tom Huelsman's club on Saturday and Sunday August 27 and 28, 2011. You can visit Tom's website by clicking here.
I have pictures and videos of my new dog, Car on his page now to see. They are already outdated though as he's growing and doing better by the day. I will have updates coming soon on this fantastic animal.
We also recently put on a Police K9 Patrol Dog School and I have some very good pictures from it I will share when I have time to upload them.
I have pictures and videos of my new dog, Car. We have been working his aggression and civil and it's coming very nicely. I will have them up soon on the site.
I travelled to Pennsylvania and Massachusetts the end of April and first week of May to do two Regional Helper Seminars as a USA Teaching Helper. I took Car with me. Very valuable for a young dog. He flew on four planes, travelled in crates, dog trailers, new cars, tracked in different fields, trained on new fields, saw five states, and multiple helpers I knew were capable of working him. Very valuable for a young dog to see. I was very happy with how he handled it all. Always wanting to work.
The Bernhard Flinks seminar went extremely well and was a big success! Our club had a wonderful time and will repeat this event next year. Bernhard and I agreed on a great many things and enjoyed training together.

I have been working with my new male Car. I bought him completely green (no training) and am getting him going. I've had him about two months. He's doing very well and moving along nicely.
Sportwaffen K9 has secured a future stud male for the kennel. I tried to keep it under wraps but the word's out and I keep getting phone calls about him. So, I started his page and will be listing information soon. I purchased him at 12 months old out of Slovakia. He is completely green with zero training. Beautiful male. Top working bloodlines. Absolutely for top sport! He has begun his training toward titles here at Sportwaffen K9.
More to come soon!
The Stuka x Cheyenne puppies are doing fantastic. There are still puppies available and will be placed based on individual need and testing, not by first come first serve. They are being exposed to multiple environments and socialized. Eating very well, energetic. They have been moved to a sheltered outdoor kennel and like the new environment.
Below is 10 month old Sunshadow's Caine son Kevo von den Sportwaffen.
